I just found this sweet old photo of my mom and her family back in the day. Totally stylin'!

Aye Aye

This is my brother-in-law Andrew - we call him Albatross. He is better known here in the SL valley
as Aye Aye. My family decided to give each other hand made gifts this year for Christmas,
so I had these photos of him printed and stretched on canvas. I took them last summer
at a show he played during Craft Lake City at the Gallivan Center. Apparently he has
quite a love affair with this guitar so he was happy to have some printed photos of him
and his baby.

Duck Hunt
My family and I went duck hunting a few months ago. My sister Trisha brought her
film camera and she and I passed the camera back and forth all morning. It was
a fun little family outing and it was especially great to have my mom come with
since she's not too fond of the outdoorsy/killing animals thing. My Dad is the
only one who got anything, but it was fun to sit in the cold, stinky swamp all morning
and spend some quality time with the fam.

Island Park
These are a few shots of my winter vacation in Island Park, Idaho with Mark and his family over the New
Year holiday. It was a lovely, relaxing week full of good food and great company.
I've been absent from the blogging world for a while, just because. Since school has been out
I decided I would rather just play and not touch a computer unless absolutely necessary. School's
starting up again so hopefully I'll be posting more regularly seeing as how I'll be on my computer
pretty much 24/7 this next semester.
As for my New Year's resolutions? Along with the regular eat healthier, study harder and love
deeper, I'm hoping to focus more on developing my photography skills. All that can be done in
these next few months to further that goal is simply picking up my camera and shooting -
anything and everything. Oh, speaking of...I'm shooting my first real wedding in February. Eek!
Wish me luck.

I can't help but drool
Every time I visit his site. Seriously. His work is incredible. He turns the most mundane and simple things into amazing works of art and I can't get enough of his photos. You better believe I'm saving my money right now so I can hire him to document every important event in my life.
Maybe one day I'll be as good as he is. But before that happens I'll need to finish this ten page paper and find time to actually pick up my camera.
